Dean Schwebach breaks up the soil of crops Thursday morning at Schwebach farms in Moriarty. The Schwebachs have lived on their farm for 16 years, but the farm has been in the family for 50 years. The farm has recently acquired a Community Supported Agriculture model, or CSA, that allows members of the community to invest in a local farm by paying for a share of the season’s harvest in advance. /Shot for The Independent
